Description
Horticultural Grit is a popular addition to potting mixes and pots with alpines due to the size and sharpness of its particles. Hard, sharp and angular the grit provides a great drainage option for bulbs and for topping off pots.
Given these qualities we also add Horticultural Grit to our JPR Gold soil conditioner, JPR Border Mix and Screened Topsoil. Bespoke blends can be discussed if required just contact us on Tel: 01298 873022
For particularly heavy, clay-based soils digging horticultural grit into the soil enables aeration and drainage that will over time break down the soils into a more manageable constitution. Or try our JPR Gold with added Horticultural Grit as this will add organic matter and nutrients to the soil as well as drainage.
Our horticultural grit is between 1-5mm in diameter and sourced from the UK .
Sold in our handy half size bulk bags, full size bulk bags or may be delivered loose if required.
When packed:
A bulk bag holds approx. 1 tonne (1000kg)
A half bulk bag holds approx. 0.5 tonne (500kg)
